My friend bought a Bonsai and gifted to her wife on her birthday in the year 2000. Even after eight years, the plant is still well maintained and has become more beautiful. On each visit to their house, I am being told that of all other costlier gifts she has received year after year that can not match the gift she got in the form of the Bonsai and that she loves that plant very much. Once she mentioned that she wants to keep that plant alive for eternity and remember as a beautiful gift from her husband.
We can not say anything about eternity but if you have ever seen a Bonsai, just imagine the beauty after 20 years.
She always describes that Bonsai as the most unique gift of her life...... |

On last mother's day i had got an order from USA, for a bonsai to be gifted to a mother from her son. The specific requirement was to deliver the bonsai at 6’0 Clock in the morning. The delivery place was almost 25 Kms from Ahmedabad. Irrespective of the distance, the plant was delivered on the time. The expressions on the lady’s face were a mix of happiness and emotions. She become very happy and told us that it was one of the best mornings she has had in last couple of years. After few hours, we received the call from his son from USA and he showered the Bonsai Club with praises and told us that he was so grateful, because his mother liked that bonsai plant so much. He also mentioned that he had never heard his mother to be happier. After that day, his mother has become a regular visitor to the club and learns bonsai. At the age of 60 she has got a new path to live happy like plants and do something creative. |

In the year 2002, a doctor friend of mine invited me, on the occasion of opening of his new hospital. Instead of buying a bouquet, I gift wrapped a normal plant and presented him. At that time the market value of the plant was merely Rs.60/-. He was very impressed with the concept and planted it in his hospital garden. During all these years, the plant has really grown in beauty and size and started producing flowers too which adds to the beauty of a well cured Hospital garden. Every time I visit the hospital and look at the plant, it always seems to smile at me and I feel proud that i gifted this beautiful plant to my friend. |
